The Jungfrau-Aletsch Region in the Bernese Oberland was the Alps' first UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, with the massif of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau at its heart. Our base for the week is the alpine resort of Grindelwald, nestled at the foot of this classic trio of peaks. We'll use the region's superb network of trains and cable cars to access hikes, allowing us to explore the dramatic scenery of its beautiful alpine valleys. Our trip leads us through alpine meadows, below glaciers and to the foot of the famous North Face of the Eiger.
